This project aimed to build upon INREM’s existing efforts in Madhya Pradesh, focusing on a total of 38 villages spanning two districts. The primary objective was to mitigate the consumption of fluoride-contaminated drinking water and enhance nutritional levels within these communities.

Key strategies employed included the identification and protection of safe water sources, establishment of nutrition gardens, and implementation of plantation initiatives.

Project Goals

Get 38 villages to have Safe water and be free from fluorosis

Scale govt and NGO partnerships to plan for fluorosis in 2 districts

Major Outcomes

65000 population in 38 villages benefitted from a 75% increase in Safe water coverage in 3 years

More than 150 villages in 2 districts affected by high fluoride now have specific plans and implementation on Safe water programmes
